I've been replaying Fallout 3 in the past few days. Ever since I wrapped up Far Cry 3 and Hitman: Absolution, I've just been itching for it. Anyways, I was clearing the Springvale School and made my way down to the basement using a laser rifle. I reached the end of the ant tunnel, where a skill book is supposed to lay in waiting, and I proceeded to melt every attacking ant to a pile of ash. And this is the problem.
Apparently, one of the ants that melted into an ash pile did so EXACTLY on top of the skill book. I tried dragging corpses out of the way, but the parts that would move did not reveal my skill book to collect. I cannot move the ash pile, and it doesn't ever go away. Which means that I can never get that skill book. I looked it up online to see if there was a way around it, but it seems that in the four years since Fallout 3 released, nobody has had this issue and put it on the internet.
It got me thinking, "Could I really be the only person who has experienced this issue in Fallout 3?" I suppose it's very possible. Then I got to thinking about other random glitches that we may experience in games that nobody else we know has. So now I'm curious.
Have you ever experienced a glitch in a game that nobody else you know experienced? Have you ever been in my situation? Sound off.
