Do you think we'll ever see the truth behind Roy Campbell's alien abduction story?
For those who need a refresher: as Colonel Roy Campbell, GW told Raiden after Emma's worn infected it in Arsenal Gear that something had happened to him (Campbell) last Thursday night on his way home. He saw a bright orange light in the sky, to the East which moved irregularly. He then finds himself surrounded by intense light and blacks out, recovering later in his home with no recollection of the time in between. He then asks Raiden for his opinion of what may have happened, and Raiden's inability to follow the conversation makes him angry and they stop talking about it. This is amidst a whole set of crazy shit that GW says in Campbell's persona because of the worm, and is very nearly excused as such. But in MGS4, Old Snake has the opportunity to find a crop circle while tracking Naomi, which prompts this memory. Snake was not directly involved in this conversation, and this is the only non-cutscene memory I can think of in MGS4 that Solid Snake was not present for when it actually happens.
So is there actually a greater importance of this conversation? Will we ever see more details of it? Will there be aliens in Metal Gear's future?
I'm just curious what other MGS fans have to say about it.
